Custom Prototype Metal Parts
Turn your CAD design into real, functional metal parts for fit checks, testing and investor demos. We make custom prototype metal parts by CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication — in the same materials you plan to use in production.
Upload Your DrawingWhatsApp UsWhy Make Metal Prototypes Before Production?
A 3D print shows shape — a metal prototype proves performance. Machined or fabricated prototypes let you test strength, heat, assembly fit and surface finish with real materials before you spend money on molds, dies or large orders.
Our engineers review every prototype drawing and point out features that will be expensive or difficult in production, so the design you validate is also a design that can be manufactured economically.
Typical prototype parts
- Electronics housings and heat sinks
- Mounting brackets and frames
- Shafts, couplings and bushings
- Sheet metal enclosures and covers
- Robot, automation and machine components
- Medical-device and lab-equipment test parts (non-implant)
Prototype Manufacturing Methods
CNC Machined Prototypes
Best for solid parts, tight features and complex 3D geometry in aluminum, steel, stainless, brass and plastics.
CNC machining →Sheet Metal Prototypes
Laser-cut and bent parts for enclosures, brackets and panels, ideal when production will also be sheet metal.
Sheet metal →Plastic Prototypes
Machined POM, ABS, PC and Nylon prototypes, with a path to injection molding for production.

| Category | Common materials |
|---|---|
| Aluminum | 6061-T6, 6063, 7075-T6, 5052, 2024 |
| Stainless steel | 303, 304, 316, 17-4PH |
| Steel | Mild steel (Q235), 45# / 1045, 40Cr, tool steel |
| Copper alloys | Brass H59 / C360, copper |
| Plastics | POM (Delrin), ABS, PC, Nylon PA6, PMMA, PP, PEEK, PTFE |
Prototypes can be delivered as-machined or with production finishes — anodizing, powder coating, plating, sandblasting or brushing — so you can evaluate appearance as well as function.
From Prototype to Low-Volume Production
Once your prototype is approved, we keep the programs, fixtures and inspection records. That means your next order — 50, 500 or more pieces — starts from a proven process. Read more about low-volume CNC machining and low-MOQ custom metal parts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make just one prototype metal part?
Yes. We accept single-piece prototype orders. A minimum order charge may apply and is shown on the quotation.
What is the difference between a metal prototype and a 3D printed prototype?
A CNC machined or sheet metal prototype is made from production-grade material, so it can be used for real functional, strength and assembly testing — not just to check shape.
Do I need a 2D drawing for a prototype?
A 3D model (STEP/IGES) is enough to quote. A 2D drawing is recommended to specify tolerances, threads and surface finish.
Can the prototype be finished like the final product?
Yes. We can apply anodizing, powder coating, plating, sandblasting or brushing so the prototype matches the intended production look.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We are happy to sign an NDA before you share drawings.
Have a Drawing? Let’s Review Your Project.
Send your PDF, STEP or DWG file with quantity and material. An engineer reviews every drawing and replies with a quotation and DFM suggestions — usually within 24 hours.
